1960
Bowden Spacelander
(reissued in 1997)

The Bowden is the ancestor of sub-10lb composite wonderbikes, with a full-fiberglass chassis. The only metal is in the forkblabes and the steerer. But this one here she weighs 60 lbs!
The wheels have Moon discs which are spun aluminum covers.
The 2005 price was $300 for 4 disc set,
and they fit a 559mm/26" rim.
L side is has valve hole and cover
10lbs is the total weight ...
recommended, but not affiliated w/ 43bikes
is there a surviving Ben Bowden prototype somewhere waiting to be found?
