in 2004, about to do the 50 mile climb to Darjeeling in India

About the time when I decided a 39x28 wasn't enough, Sikkim province, India

The bike fits in a 26" x 26" x 10" bag, thanks to the S&S couplers

Most of the parts have been swapped many times, but others are 'original'. I've had the wheels since '87 (they were on my Walton) and have put over 50,000 miles on them.

My friend in West Bengal province, India.. on a test ride after installing a horn.

It has been in lots and lots of crazy situations.

The frame (w/ custom mookie paint) in 2001. Still the only bike I've ever broken.

Was it because of the abusive 30,000+ miles, the low-end steel, maybe some rust from its years in the northwest? Or was it because of the crash when attempting to ride down the up escalator at the Mission st. BART station in SF? It was repaired with a better down tube and has been going strong ever since.
