'60s

notes:
- most models were available in 7-14cm, in 5mm increments
- every Cinelli stem had a 26.4mm clamp all the way until the 1990s, with freakish 26.0 exceptions like the one from the '60s here.
- 22.2mm quill was standard, also most models came in 22.0 (French)
- the stem badges alone deserve a timeline - in short, before the silver-plated brass badge (1950s/60s/70s) there was a cloisonné badge (1950s) with a blue background, and then the last of the stembadges (1970s) were aluminum
- the Cinelli catalog in the early '80s mentions custom engraving, but very little of the engraving/pantographing one sees was out of the Cinelli factory

what does 'anodized' mean?

the Cinelli Firenze was the first stem - late 1940s through mid-50s

the steel stems came with and without badges

very rare and cool Firenze headbadge - probably not ever put on the Firenze stems?

The 1 piece bars and stems (1950s and 60s) were primarily made for kids' bikes

Cino Cinelli (1916-2001) was one bad-ass pro cyclist. He won the 1943 Milan-San Remo and raced against Fausto Coppi. He was one of the best sprinters of his time.
Some of the different bends of 50s/60s steel handlebars were:
M.11 SanRemo
M.12 Gran Fondo
M.13 Giro D'Italia
M.14 Pista(track)
M.15 Koblet
M.16 Tour de France
M.17 Corsa Strada
M.17D Giro d'Italia
M.18 Madison (track)
M.19 (track)

This model designation was usually engraved at the ends.

What kinda bars and stems do they got on there?

1960s 1A stem made of aluminum alloy - the earliest weren't anodized

2 and 3 rings style of knurling precedes the models with 1 single knurled center. The dates for non-anodized aluminum handlebars seem to correlate with the stems (1960 intro, '62 or '63 production), then becoming anodized (mid-late '60s).

Someone besides the Cinelli factory pantographed this old logo 1A stem for Ugo De Rosa in 1973.

This 1984 Gitane wears a 1R stem and 66-42 Campione del Mondo bars.
Winged-C face on the stem and this type of new logo on the bars dates from '78 to the mid-80s.
