The
Bohemian lugged stem probably required a lot more hours than the frame did. Dave Bohm made it out of 100% stainless steel. Besides the heroic effort of polishing it, the oval extension tube was a bitch to miter and fixture - much more so than the
currently produced round set that's on my
Bohemian track bike. Dave said he made only a short run of the oval, full-stainless stems, and that he would be reluctant to build any others.
This is the return of the steel Campy seatpost.

The earliest Campagnolo seatpost was steel, and can be seen on my 1959 Bianchi Tour de France.
